In our session of Feathered Adventures, there were well-placed yoyo hits from an angry sparrow, caramelized fruit kebabs shared between three young owls with spectacles, a dalmatian with zany inventions (including a talking toaster) and the betrayal of a nice rhinoceros nobody had seen coming! And all of this with not a single swear word!
I like nostalgic games with clear ideas. Feathered Adventures is one of those: this odd bird sits at the corner of pulp, anticolonialism and childhood. Comforting and smart, like the best cartoons are. Just talking about it makes me want to play it again!
That game is a concentrate of inspiration: every sentence is an idea for a scene or an adventure, in the zany and light spirit of the comics and cartoons of our childhood. A real family game, in all meanings of the term!
