Thank you for your support. This is the Pledge Manager for our Fading Suns – Lost Worlds Kickstarter campaign.
Here you can change your pledge level and choose from a great selection of add-ons.
There are some Important Notes, we want you to know:
You need to add the additional items in the pledge manager, that you had selected when you made the pledge. We transferred your pledge level and the whole amount you pledged during the Kickstarter campaign. This is due to the great number of items in this Late Pledge. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Your final total will now include the shipping costs of your items.
Please confirm that all the information, especially your delivery address is correct.
If you already pledged in the New Frontiers crowdfunding, you DO NOT need to pick your add-ons and rewards for that project. Also, in case you already participated in the New Frontiers campaign, we will not charge you again.
In Fading Suns players encounter dangers and intrigues in a far-future frontier where noble houses vie for power against Church sects and merchant guilds, all amidst the ruins of a once-grand, high-tech Republic. The wonders of science are now in the hands of the few, leaving the masses to toil under the light of fading stars while their masters scheme to claim what remains of past glories.
Player-character troupes band together from all walks of life — nobles, priests, guilders — and seek through adventure to make their name and fortune — and, against the odds, to redress injustice and raise the Known Worlds back to the heights they once knew.
Fading Suns is primarily a science fiction game, which means that there are starships, blasters, powered armor, alien races, and weird science. But there are also many elements of traditional fantasy gaming: heroic characters and struggles, a feudal sociopolitical structure (noble lords, high priests, and headstrong merchants), powerful artifacts, and great mysteries. And there is horror: monsters and maddening discoveries revealing terrifying metaphysical truths.
The Fading Suns 4th edition rules presented in the Character Book provide a robust way to resolve all sorts of actions your characters might take, while giving players a lot of freedom for how they spend their resources (mainly, victory points).
But all those resources can prove a bit difficult to handle when you’re playing away from the table. Hence, this streamlined version of the rules!
In a nutshell, the Streamlined Rules are aimed at more open-ended play away from the tabletop. They alter the 4th edition rules by:
Greatly reducing the amount of victory points (VP) and the need for tokens
Replacing the VP bank with an action stance that you choose each turn before you roll the die
Cutting Resistance in half
These streamlined rules rely on the Character Book. We assume you have that book and can use it to reference information on characters, traits, actions, equipment, and most everything not included in this booklet.
These are all the reward levels we offered during the Kickstarter campaign. As explained in the chart above the symbols on the sides show you which pledge contains which (already unlocked) strech goal.
Here you will find not only all the products, that were included in the New Frontiers crowdfunding, but also all the available Fading Suns items.
Lost Worlds
Additionaly we have two products that have never been available before!
The physical version of the Explorer's Gear Card Set, which you will all get as PDF and a very limited special version of the Fading Suns Aluminum Dice - the Darkness Edition!
Fading Suns - Explorer's Gear Equiment Card Set For 11 €
When you’re out in the middle of nowhere, the last thing you need is for your Juandaastas Slider to break down — you should have brought a sturdy LeagueAuto Quadbike instead! Your glitchy Life Coach think machine won’t help you when you’re lost — what you really need is a Mapper. Don’t worry — the Society of St. Paulus is looking out for you! Herein is a host of gear they recommend for every explorer’s kit, from an expeditionary medallion for orienteering to a chameleon suit for hunting dangerous game, each with a snippet of advice from the Society of St. Paulus Expedition Guide.
The Explorer’s Gear Card Deck presents 30 cards of equipment useful for explorers, from hunting rifles and portable think machines to cyber-implants and off-road vehicles. In addition, 20 cards help you keep track of the special items awarded by the factions to apprentices, from the Decados’ “Little Friend” to the Muster’s MuSpA (multi-spectrum armor).
As the Phoenix Empire encroaches further into barbarian space, its explorers — Questing Knights, missionaries, traders, spies, and dissidents — rediscover worlds that were once part of humanity’s spacefaring commonwealth, lost during the Fall. Will these forlorn planets bring prosperity or danger?
Lost Worlds describes nine star systems: Antioch, Eridol, Heaven’s Ridge, Kun Lun, Lamorak, Novgorod, Pandora, Sargasso, and Twilight. Also included are: the nizdharim; the z’go, sentient energy beings; the mutant Qabirim super-intellects; and many alien creatures encountered in barbarian space. Finally, there’s the Emberhawk, a fast freighter popular among fringe-world merchants — complete with deckplans.

Imperial Dossiers
These books examine the main factions of the Fading Suns universe in depth. Each is presented as a primer written by a member of the faction, commissioned by Emperor Alexius’ Imperial administration for the education of its members: everyone from diplomats, bureaucrats, soldiers, and star-sailors to Questing Knights and their Cohorts. Scholars of the Imperial Eye, the Emperor’s information agency (i.e. spies), serve as editors and have added commentary to correct the primary author’s biased perspective (and to drop telling clues about deeper conspiracies and mysteries).

Deluxe Play Mats
Just as the Pancreator orders the universe, you can bring order to your play experience with the Fading Suns Deluxe Playmats. Your neoprene mat helps you to keep track of all the tokens in your character’s cache and your bank. You can also track the number of Revivals and Surges you have available, as well as mark whether your character is Overloaded with too much high technology.
The standard playmat works for any character type, or you can choose unique mats for nobles, priests, merchants, and yeomen. The gamemaster gets their own mat, allowing them to track two Headliner NPCs at the same time.

About Us
We are Ulisses Spiele, the German-based and internationally renowned publisher of games like The Dark Eye, Torg Eternity, Fading Suns, HeXXen 1733, and the Aventuria – Adventure Card Game. Besides our own games, we are also known for the translation and publishing of many other gaming systems, including Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons, and The World of Darkness into German. For us, games are the greatest form of interactive entertainment and our goal is to publish amazing games just for you.
We have a long history of successful crowdfundings on Kickstarter and other platforms. We aim to bring our successful German games to our international fans and continuously support these games with our crowdfundings.
Under "My supported projects" you can click on the campaign and use the corresponding "Change" button to change the data stored in your account.
This is done directly - among other things, to prevent fun bidders, which is now a problem with many campaigns.
No. For every printed book that is newly introduced in this crowdfunding, you will automatically receive the PDF with it in the crowdfunding. It doesn't matter if it's part of a pledge level, a stretch goal, or an add-on product. Where this is the case, it is listed.
We provide you with the PDFs that belong to your pledge level via drivethrurpg. You will receive a download code by e-mail. In order to download them, you need to register there with the email address you provided to us on this page. If you did not receive a download code after we announced the sending of PDFs, check the spam folder of your mailbox first. If you don't find the code there either, contact crowdfunding@ulisses-spiele.de.
Your PDFs are archived in your library at www.ulisses-ebooks.de (DriveThruRPG) after you redeem the code. Here you can download them again at any time, and here you can also find any updated versions.
You have to agree to receive e-mails by changing your account settings in the project itself and setting "Yes" to "I accept" to receive e-mail notifications about this project". Then you will receive an e-mail every time there is news. Please also make sure to check the Kickstarter Page!
